Philip Thrift grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina; received Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Applied Mathematics from Brown University; was a research (realtime cortex data) programmer at Princeton University’s Department of Psychology and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Maryland’s Computer Vision Laboratory; worked in Texas Instruments Research Labs (image understanding, AI programming languages, internet agents and media) in Dallas. Currently, he lives in Addison, Texas where he writes and publishes (at Cloudversed Research) and (like Immanuel Kant and Ludwig Wittgenstein) takes long walks.
